Pierce Burkkina LLC (“Pierce Burkkina,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates pierceburkkina.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Site, our emails, and our customer-service channels.

What Information We Collect
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and account login. You give us these when you order, create an account, join our email list, or contact us.
- Order information: products purchased, order history, returns, and order totals.
- Payment information: card type, last four digits, and billing address. We do not store full card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe, Klarna, and Affirm under their own privacy policies.
- Internet and device activity: IP address, browser and device type, pages and products viewed, cart and checkout events, referring site, and cookie and pixel identifiers. These are collected automatically.
- Approximate location: city, region, or country based on your IP address.
- Communications: messages, reviews, photos, and other content you send us.
- Inferences: shopping preferences based on the information above.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, health, or biometric data.
How We Use Your Information
- To process, ship, and deliver orders, handle returns and exchanges, and send order and shipping updates.
- To create and manage your account and provide customer service.
- To send marketing emails if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To show you ads for our products on other sites and apps, and to measure how well those ads work.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To prevent fraud, secure the Site, and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Who We Share Information With
- Service providers working on our behalf: payment processors (Stripe, Klarna, Affirm), shipping carriers, email marketing (Klaviyo), website hosting (Hostinger), analytics (Google), and customer-support tools.
- Advertising partners, such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, through cookies and pixels on the Site.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger or sale of the business.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under California law, allowing advertising partners to collect information through pixels for targeted advertising may be considered “sharing” or “selling.” You can opt out at any time, as described below.
Cookies, Pixels & Tracking
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure Site traffic, and show and measure ads. Third parties, including Meta and Google, may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use our Site.
- Your choices: use the cookie banner or the “Your Privacy Choices” link to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies are required for the cart and checkout to work.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for that browser.
- Do Not Track: there is no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not respond to them. We do honor GPC as described above.
- You can also limit ads through your browser settings, Meta’s ad preferences, and Google’s Ad Settings.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
- Order and tax records: generally 7 years, to meet legal requirements.
- Account information: until you close your account.
- Email marketing data: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics and advertising data: generally no longer than 26 months.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including where it came from, why we use it, and who we share it with.
- Delete personal information we hold about you. Some legal exceptions apply, such as records we must keep for tax purposes.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link, turn on GPC in your browser, or email us.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
How to make a request: email hello@pierceburkkina.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or call (818) 217-7996. We will verify your identity by matching information you give us, such as your email address and a recent order number. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to another 45 days, we will tell you why.
Personal information collected in the past 12 months: identifiers, order information, internet and device activity, approximate location, and inferences, as described above. These were disclosed for business purposes to the service providers listed above. Identifiers and internet activity were “shared” with advertising partners (Meta, Google) for targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Shine the Light: we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
Notice of Financial Incentive: 10% Off Your First Order
We offer 10% off your first order when you join our email list. To join, you give us your email address and agree to receive marketing emails. You can withdraw at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by emailing us. Once you unsubscribe, any unused discount is no longer valid.
We estimate the value of a subscriber’s email address from our expected customer-acquisition costs and the average margin on orders that come from email. We believe the 10% discount is reasonably related to that value.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and PCI-compliant payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Websites
The Site may link to other websites and social networks. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes, we will also post a notice on the Site or email you before they take effect.
